The forty most reviewed roofing contractors in greater St. Louis
Sorted on published Google review count, highest first. The bar under each row draws that count to scale against the top entry, which is the fastest way to see that positions eleven through forty are separated by rounding error rather than by merit.
Keys Roofing
Roofing, gutters and downspouts across greater St. Louis, and nothing else. No siding, no windows, no commercial work. Shingle work is Atlas and Malarkey. Licensed and insured.
The reason the downspout is in that sentence: a roof that sheds water perfectly into gutters that discharge against the foundation has moved the problem, not fixed it. Keys carries the water away from the house, which is a different job from roofing and most roofing companies here do not offer it.
Advertising disclosure. This panel is a paid featured placement, not a ranked entry. Keys Roofing is a competitor of every company in the ranking below. The panel sits above the ranking so nobody has to scroll to find it, and Keys does not appear in the ranking or in the structured data behind it.

- The metric
- Total count of published Google reviews, highest first. Where two companies tie on count, the higher star average is listed first. Star average is printed beside every entry but is not what the order is built on.
- The source
- Three Google Maps pulls covering St. Louis County, St. Charles County and Chesterfield. Every kept row carried both a star average and a review count. Duplicates were removed on the Google place identifier, so a company with two listings appears once.
- The pull date
- 23 August 2026. These numbers move every week. Treat the list as a photograph of one morning, not a standing table.
- The filter
- Two steps, both stated. First, only rows Google categorises as a roofing contractor, which left 225 of 263 rated businesses. Second, three businesses whose own trading name identifies them as another trade were removed by hand: SERVPRO of Oakville/Mehlville, SERVPRO of South Chesterfield / Wildwood, St. Louis Power Washing & Gutter Cleaning LLC. That leaves 222 companies in the ledger.
- What it does not measure
- Craft. Crew composition. Whether the salesperson is ever on the roof. What happens in year four when a valley leaks. Whether the company is still trading when you call it. Review count measures how much feedback exists, and age and volume produce feedback, so an older or larger firm out-collects a better smaller one almost every time.
- What is excluded and why
- Keys Roofing is deliberately absent from the ranking. It appears only in the separate featured panel above, labelled as a paid placement, and was never scored against anyone. Nothing in that panel touches the order of the list, and no company can buy its way into the table.

Bar length is review count as a share of 1,834, the highest count in the ledger. Star average is printed beside each entry for context and is not the sort key. City is where the business is registered with Google, not where it works: a company registered in Fenton roofs houses in Ladue every week.
Four things this table is doing that a normal ranking hides
It is sorted on volume, and it says so. Most pages of this kind sort on something they refuse to define, usually because the definition is money. This one sorts on a public integer anybody can verify by opening Google Maps and counting. If you check a number here and it has moved, that is expected: the pull date is printed at the top and the counts change weekly.
The distribution is visible. The top entry holds more reviews than the second and third combined. The top ten hold roughly a third of every review in the ledger. Below about position twenty five the gaps between companies are so small that a single busy month would reorder them. A ranking whose middle can be reshuffled by one busy month is not a quality ranking, and the tally bars are here so you can see that rather than take it on trust.
Keys Roofing is not in it. Keys is absent from the table, from the structured data behind the table, and from every count on the page. It appears once, in the dark panel above, labelled as a paid featured placement rather than a ranked entry.
Three names were removed by hand and named. Google's own category field listed two restoration franchises and a power washing company as roofing contractors. They met the automated filter and were removed anyway, because a homeowner reading a roofing ranking is not looking for either. Every one of them is named in the methodology above rather than quietly dropped, because a hand edit you cannot see is the thing that makes a ranking worthless.
So which one do I call?
Not the top one, necessarily, and not any one of them because of where it sits here. The order on this page tells you who has been trading longest and advertising hardest. It does not tell you who will be on your roof, whether that person is an employee, or what happens when a valley leaks in the fourth winter.
The sequence that actually works is boring and takes about a week: pull five or six names off this table, read their most recent middling reviews rather than their best ones, get three of them to your house, and compare written scopes rather than headline prices. There is a page for exactly that.

Keys Roofing is absent from this ranking on purpose
Keys is a featured placement on this page, not a ranked entry, so it is filtered out of the table and out of every statistic drawn from it. A ranking a competitor could sort itself into would not be worth reading.
If you want Keys to look at the roof anyway, this is where to ask. Nobody in the table above receives what you type here, and nobody in it paid to be listed.
Straight through to the Keys Roofing office. Roofing, gutters and downspouts across greater St. Louis, and nothing else.
This goes to Keys Roofing. It does not go to anyone in the ranking, and none of the ranked companies pay to be here or receive anything you type.
